Before you even start thinking about which character you want, here's a light reading list:
ONE. The Rules, because even if you didn't know a rule existed, and you break it, you still get in trouble. It's only a quick read.
TWO. The Plot, chances are you read this first, but just in case you haven't: DO IT.
THREE. Bermuda History, not as boring as it sounds. It's just a short section about how people got to the island in the first place, a quick break down of the island itself, and a few details about each of the eight bloodlines.
FOUR. The Rules of Engagement will give you a bit more of an idea about how the covens work.
FIVE. The Species, this thread gives you the low-down on all of the creatures available to you.
And now you're off! Oh, wait. Those were just general details about the site itself. After that you'll want to check out powers thread and the canon list. Don't forget the little stuff like the face claims.
Those links are character-specific, so you'll be able to get a few more details in that application. Once you've completed the application, you'll be reviewed, and either accepted and denied (which probably just means there are a couple errors that need correcting).
Side note: please ensure you take a look at the subplot thread for anything available to your character's family. Subplots are important, as they help you integrate your character into the community. The sense of family, community and involvement is central to this rpg.
