My question is more of a request. I was hoping one of the admin's could PM me some details about my characters power (disintegration). I'd like to get a better feel for the limits and what exactly you all had in mind when creating it. Thanks in advance.

heya matt.
from what i remember, i'm pretty sure i was the one who chose the powers for the canon list and i think i left them as just the one word so you could have as much freedom in interpreting the ability as you wanted.
basically, disintegration involves having the ability to break objects down. whether you allow gregory to do so psychically or by having to touch the objects is up to you. same with the degree of control he has over it (comparing shattering a glass object to turning it into dust). it's all really your choice.

Hey, I'm making my first character here and I'm bringing her over from a different website. It's difficult though because she has a complicated history and I'm not sure how to encorpurate her history and the lifestyle of the proctor family(which she is in) Any help?
here's a link to her old profile and history here.
if you can help could you send me a PM?

Hey there,
I took a look at her old app and I'd like to say good job. She is a very complex character.
When it comes to transferring charries between sites, you have to be very careful. As for her history, it will have to be entirely rewritten in order to coincide with the plot here on the Bermuda.
That's not to say that you cannot keep some of the elements of her history. Here, we have a strong family life for all of our characters. Maybe her parents were from opposing bloodlines (a Proctor and either an Ames, Sebastian, Ashby or Kelsey) and had to keep there love secret? Maybe one of the families found out and killed Alicia's mom to try and keep her parents apart?
This is really something that only you can do. You may have to sacrifice certain things about her in order to fit her into this site, but there are countless other things you can add as well.

Matt again, with another request. If anyone is up to the challenge, I'd really appreciate a nice avatar and signature. I'm completely innept at making those kinds of things, and I'm jealous of everyone elses. So, if anyone is any good at it, I have no preference on what picture you use of my character (Cam Gigandet).

Hey guys! =]
so I was thinking of using necromance for my new charrie, maddison. and i was wondering if you want any restrictions for that power cause it's pretty similar to summoning.

(it's vara on a new account =])
i hadn't even figured they were very similar but now that i think about it, they are a little. i always thought necromance simply had to do with raising the dead (as well as manipulation of, etc) and summoners wouldn't be able to touch death.
see what brandon has to say about it? as well as how trent makes his application.

well i can have her not be able to summon the dead, but she can talk to ghosts, touch them, and manipulate them to her advantage or something. like necromance has every thing to do with dead, even summoning them, but maddie can be restricted to the living dead? yeah?

Heya Ruby,
The powers here are very similar to what they were on Primrose, except the source is magical instead of science-based. On Prim, Caro had a necrokinetic character as well and I think she played it superbly.
Since I don't know how old or powerful you're going to make your character, I'll try to list some things they would be able to do, in increasing order (i.e. as they become more powerful, the abilities at the bottom of the list will open up to her)
- Mediumship- talking to the dead
- Ghost Whispering- seeing the ghosts of those that have passed and communicating
- Limited Death Touch- taking the life force of simple life forms (plants, insects)
- Stronger Death Touch- small animals.
- Persuasion- manipulating ghosts to do their bidding
- Limited Reanimation- bring corpses back from the dead (maybe they have an army of zombie dogs, oh my! lol)
- Reanimation- actually summoning the dead.
Just remember you will never be able to bring someone fully back to life. Dead is dead.

Ok, so 2 3 questions:
1/ What, exactly, is the difference between a Plot Network and a Shipping Thread? As far as I can tell, Plot Networks seem to be the same as they were on Primrose, while Shipping Threads seem to be a bit of an explanation for them. Yes/No?
2/ I want to create a family-based subplot, but I don't seem to have the option. The Sebastian Subplot board won't let me create new threads. Do I just add it to the Book of Shadows, formatted as an entry, perhaps by Linda's parents?
Ok, and a third thing: Can someone link Linda under the Sebastian family tree in the Book of Shadows? A la Sydney and Gregory? Thanks.

One. A shipping thread is kind of like a classified ad. You post up your character and his/her details, and what you're looking for in terms of relationships with other characters. Say you want someone as an enemy or a love interest, you specify the kind of person you'd want and the details of said relationship, and if someone else's character fits the profile, they can jump in. A plot network is really just the same as it was on Primrose. Ships are about relationships, plots are about the subplots between characters.
Two. If you're working on an idea as big as a family-wide subplot, I'd pm it to one of us admin. We'd share it with the other staff and post it up in the appropriate place (including notifying anyone in that family, and others who would be involved).
Three. I was working on re-formatting the family trees (just so the families are better organized but I got distracted with my uni set list for lit and working out my timetable. The family trees aren't that big of a deal; it's the canon thread that you'd worry about if you weren't linked properly. I'm in the middle of a couple other things, but I'll link Linda in asap.
