The year, is 2018. Twenty one years after the demise of the dark wizard known as Lord Voldemort, terror no longer plagues the magical community. Life is unusually peaceful, for those who lived during the reign of evil, and young wizards and witches have nothing to fear but stories of monsters, and demons, made up by their parents to keep them in line.
Kingsley Shacklebolt, once appointed temporary Minister for Magic, held on to the position, being exceptionally succesful in keeping the wizarding world running smoothly, and things are, in essence, as they always should have been.
A few exceptions remain - a reminder of the terrors that once threatened to rule. Hogwarts Castle, is one of these exceptions. Never quite the same after the Battle of Hogwarts, it is what you could call.... scarred. Rooms changed, portions of the castle rebuilt, altered, never quite capturing the same feel it once had. The students, however, tend not to notice the great change in the place, they're far to busy with more important matters....
